1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs how you may use the Zodize website, client portal, APIs, and any software or services delivered by Zodize. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms & Conditions. Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of services.
2. Permitted Use
You may use Zodize services and platforms for lawful business and personal purposes consistent with the scope of your service agreement. You may:
- Access your client portal account to review project progress, communicate with our team, and manage your services.
- Use software delivered by Zodize for its intended purpose as described in your service agreement.
- Share project-related materials and feedback through approved communication channels.
3. Prohibited Activities
You must not use Zodize services, platforms, or delivered software to:
3.1 Illegal Activities
- Engage in or facilitate any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Commit fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, or any form of financial crime.
- Distribute, store, or transmit child sexual abuse material or any illegal content.
- Violate intellectual property rights including copyright, trademark, or patent rights of third parties.
- Infringe any data protection laws including the Nigeria Data Protection Act, GDPR, or equivalent legislation.
3.2 Harmful and Malicious Use
- Deploy, transmit, or facilitate malware, ransomware, spyware, viruses, or any other malicious code.
- Conduct or facilitate phishing, social engineering, or identity theft.
- Launch or participate in denial-of-service attacks, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, or any action intended to disrupt the availability of systems or networks.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, networks, databases, or accounts — including Zodize's own systems.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without explicit written authorisation from the system owner.
3.3 Platform Misuse
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access our website or portal in a manner that places unreasonable load on our servers.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features of any software or website.
- Share account credentials with unauthorised third parties.
- Impersonate Zodize, our staff, or any other person or entity.
- Post or transmit unsolicited commercial communications (spam) through any Zodize platform or service.
3.4 Content Restrictions
You must not request, store, transmit, or publish through Zodize's services:
- Content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive toward any individual or group.
- Content that incites hatred, discrimination, or violence based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Sexually explicit material on platforms not designed and appropriately authorised for such content.
- Content that violates any individual's right to privacy or that discloses personal data without authorisation.
3.5 Commercially Harmful Activities
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Zodize's proprietary software except where expressly permitted by law.
- Resell or sublicense access to Zodize's client portal or proprietary tools without written consent.
- Use Zodize's services to compete directly against Zodize by building competing software development services without prior written agreement.
4. Resource Usage
Where Zodize provides hosted software or platform services, you agree to use allocated resources reasonably and not in a manner that degrades the experience of other users. We reserve the right to throttle or restrict usage that is disproportionate to your service agreement.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP — by yourself, another client, or a third party — please report it promptly to security@zodize.com. We take security and abuse reports seriously and will investigate all credible reports.
6. Enforcement
Zodize reserves the right to:
- Investigate any suspected violation of this AUP.
- Suspend or terminate services to any user who violates this AUP, without prior notice in cases of severe or ongoing violations.
- Report violations to appropriate law enforcement authorities where required by law or where criminal activity is involved.
- Pursue civil remedies for damages caused by violations.
7. Changes to This Policy
Zodize may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of our services after notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
